Cigar Advisor Creates a List of 12 Cigars Your Wife Will Let You Smoke

EASTON, PA - Cigar Advisor, the nation's premiere online cigar magazine, proudly serves cigar enthusiasts with a uniquely down-to-earth perspective on the enjoyment of premium cigars. The magazine's editors know first hand that cigars aren't for everyone -- especially their wives. In response, Managing Editor John Pullo has compiled the latest 2016 CA Report, "12 Cigars Your Wife Will Let You Smoke," a list of most aromatic cigar recommendations -- along with tongue-in-cheek relationship advice that cigar guys can use to keep the marital peace.

"My wife isn't totally against cigars; it's just that she's not totally into them, either." Such is the case of Cigar Advisor Managing Editor John Pullo, and he says he's not alone. "When it comes to your wife and cigars, it usually falls into one of a few categories: some actually share cigars with their significant other; some, their wife and cigars get along as well as oil and water. And then there's people like me."

Pullo believes there's a workaround, and has devised a list of cigars with an aroma he thinks cigar wives will enjoy; he's also added some tips to being a considerate cigar smoker, with ideas about how to be sensitive to her wishes with respect to the cigar smoking hobby. "Maybe it's smoking when she's not around, smoking outside, brushing your teeth after a cigar, carrying a change of clothes -- if you want to keep the peace with your wife and keep cigars as a regularly-enjoyed treat, these simple rituals are a small price to pay."

"I kid, I kid," says Pullo. "Cigar wives get a bad rap -- most are like mine: she usually asks what cigar I'm smoking and whether it's any good, and remarks to me about the cigars of which she likes the smell, and which ones she doesn't…and that's the end of it." Admittedly, he's no relationship expert -- but in supplying some cigar recommendations that will meet the wife's approval and some useful tips for "going along to get along," the Cigar Advisor notes: "all I know is, divorce is expensive."

John's 2016 CA Report offers tasting notes and aroma characteristics for each of the twelve cigars selected for his report -- including Davidoff, Macanudo, Perdomo, Rocky Patel, Romeo y Julieta and others -- plus notes on how to be respectful of others, while enjoying cigars.
